The First Edition (Genesis) NFTs

To celebrate the mainnet launch of Sora and to mark this milestone in blockchain development, we are minting 33 rare limited edition hand drawn NFT art pieces.

The art pieces will lionise the team members of Soramitsu to say thank you for their contribution to Sora and the Polkadot ecosystem.

These rare limited edition NFTs will be created by Purple Asahi.

Each NFT will be endowed with special airdrop powers and backed by its own digital cryptocurrency assets.

Polkaswap v Uniswap Volume 1

Part 1 of 5 – a surprise Sora Genesis NFT Collective – King Kong v Godzilla Themed Fight Scenes. With the launch of Polkaswap we felt the need to commission a piece of artwork to celebrate this momentous occasion whilst portraying what may occur in the coming months. Furthermore staying true to our Japanese roots we have asked our artist to incorporate a downtown Tokyo scene whilst implanting some “Umi” references along the way.

Part 2 of 5 – a surprise Sora Genesis NFT Collectible – King Kong v Godzilla Themed Fight Scenes. With the launch of Polkaswap we felt the need to commission artwork to celebrate this momentous occasion whilst portraying what may occur in the coming months. Staying true to our Japanese roots we have asked our artist to incorporate Mount Fuji and Tokyo Tower due their significance in the country where Umi was born. Furthermore we found it all too necessary to include Sora – thus declaring our love for all things Soramitsu.

Polkaswap v Uniswap Volume 3

Part 3 of 5 – a surprise Sora Genesis NFT Collectible – King Kong v Godzilla Themed Fight Scenes. With the launch of Polkaswap we felt the need to commission artwork to celebrate this momentous occasion whilst portraying what may occur in the coming months. Staying true to our Japanese roots we have asked our artist to incorporate Tokyo Tower with an iconic King Kong movie moment where he is hanging onto the structure. Furthermore we found it all too necessary to include the VAL Token logo as the sun, representing the shining light throughout the Sora universe.

Part 4 of 5 – a surprise Sora Genesis NFT Collectible – King Kong v Godzilla Themed Fight Scenes. With the launch of Polkaswap we felt the need to commission artwork to celebrate this momentous occasion whilst portraying what may occur in the coming months. Staying true to our Japanese roots we have asked our artist to head out of the city and into the luscious countryside. Here we visit Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima Prefecture, all whilst being radiated from the heat given out by Soramitsu, the rising sun. What a place for a battle to go down.

Part 5 of 5 – a surprise Sora Genesis NFT Collectible – King Kong v Godzilla Themed Fight Scenes. With the launch of Polkaswap we felt the need to commission artwork to celebrate this momentous occasion whilst portraying what may occur in the coming months. Staying true to our Japanese roots we have asked our artist to stray out of the city and capture the aesthetically pleasing backdrop of snow-capped mountains and hot springs. We have also incorporated UMI into this design. Can you spot where we are?

Makoto

Makoto Makoto Takemiya 武宮誠 is the CEO and Co-Founder of Soramitsu, Sora & Polkaswap. From writing trading bots on MtGox, to creating a blockchain company that engages globally to improve the lives of millions, Makoto Takemiya has done it all. His love and comfort with Japanese culture is evident – whilst being a student of poetry, archery & martial arts to name a few. Furthermore he is the driving force before projects including SORA & Polkaswap. A legend of the blockchain industry who deserves to be celebrated for his contributions with the Legendary Genesis Artwork Collectable.

Sara

Sara Garifullina, has worked with Makoto @ Soramitsu for more than 3 years as a manager (community) and a tech writer & editor. A technology enthusiast by choice, it is her passion! A visit to Hyperledger event (Bootcamp in Moscow) and Sara made strong connections, and in turn identified her end goal of becoming a member of the TSC. We celebrate her contributions to Soramitsu, Sora & Polkaswap by the creation of this artistic twist on Sara and her Japanese connection.

Iurii

Iurii Vinogradov has had close ties with Soramitsu, Sora and Makoto across a number of projects outside of the XOR/PSWAP forum. IurIi took part in the Hyperledger Internship Program (HIP) working with Soramitsu developers and soon to be released rare Genesis collectables Andrei and Ivan, through project Iroha and its no nonsense distributed ledger technology. Inspired by the Japanese Kaizen principle; to eliminate excessiveness, Iurii appreciates a simple but rewarding existence. He will surely be recognised as a fundamental contributor and Genesis legend for his tireless commitments to Soramitsu, Iroha & the Polkaswap ecosystem. Tech notes: Iroha is written using C++, Protobuf, Boost and GTest. There are no smart contracts used in Iroha

Andrey

Andrey Balashov is one of the lead designers for Soramitsu. He has worked tirelessly with Makoto to ensure a seamless theme and design trend is observed across the Soramitsu collection of enterprises. Andrey’s overall aim is to design effective and straightforward user experiences across a range of financial services under the Soramitsu group. Andrey has been the catalyst to exquisite designs across a range of Soramitsu backed ventures; Fearless Wallet, D3 Ledger & Byacco – a unique local payment system for the University of Aizu, Japan.

Pavel

Pavel Golovkin, has the important title of Project Manager at Soramtisu. He is one of the driving forces behind the recent surge in recognition of all things Sora & Soramitsu within the blockchain industry. Until recently his expertise had been demonstrated & developed outside of cryptocurrency through lead engineering roles in MNC’s based in Russia and elsewhere. Furthermore Pavel’s experience as a senior Javascript developer has allowed for seamless integration of wallets and other website devices found across Soramitsu, Sora & Polkaswap.

Ikkei

松田一敬 Ikkei Matsuda, is the current Director and Co-Founder of Soramitsu Ltd. Ikkei has a BA in economics from Keio University, an MBA from INSEAD in France, a MA from Otaru University of Commerce, PhD in genetic medicine from Hokkaido University Founder – a highly qualified individual to lead such a project team at Soramitsu. Ikkei has been serving as NEDO technical adviser, adviser at JST, judge for Fuji Sankei Business i’s “Japan Biotech Venture Award”, lecturer of Entrepreneurship courses at CRIS of Hokkaido University. Most notably, Ikkei is a recipient of Japan’s Prime Minister’s Award: “Earnest Leaders for Local Business Activities.” I think we can all agree Ikkei is and will always be a high ranking man within the blockchain and business industry, hence his Emperor status with Umi.

Kazumasa

Kazumasa 宮沢和正 Kazumasa Miyazawa, has been the President of Soramitsu Ltd for the past 4 years. Kazumasa posses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the blockchain and E-money business development through previous senior roles at Rakuten and Colombino. Prior to this Kazumasa started his career working for Sony Corporation post graduation, learning the essence of creative thinking and importance of alliances with partners. As voiced by the great man himself ”one of the greatest achievements while at Sony was my role in developing the company’s first personal computer, VAIO, in partnership with Intel”. A landmark achievement for anyone. Furthermore Kazumasa played a founding member role in the first e-money service based in Japan – Rakuten Edy, whilst contributing to the development of e-money industry in Japan as a whole, which to this day is probably still the most successful e-money ecosystem, excluding soon to be released Polkaswap! We treasure his contributions and value him at Emperor level across the Umi network.

Valentin

Valentin Sergeev played a vital role in the in development of the Fearless Wallet, most notably leading the Android programming side of Devs. Originating for Saint Petersburg, Valentin has long been associated with the design and implementation phases of script writing and plugins. More recently his role developing the Fearless Wallet, Soramitsu; a mobile wallet designed especially for the DeFi future on Kusama and Polkadot has contributed to the wallets user friendly and successful integration across numerous platforms. For this we thank him with his Ninjas prowess.

Grigoriy

Grigoriy Samsonov has been involved in graphic development for around 10 years, starting as a graphic designer before transferring into web design, mobile applications and gradually moved into product development. His role as Lead UX designer with Fearless Wallet & Soramitsu has resulting in the aesthetically pleasing wallet we all know and use today. Studying graphic design at St. Petersburg “Neva Expert” university Grigoriy was about to hone his skills across a variety of platforms and user interfaces. We thank him for his continued commitment to the cause with this limited edition Ninja hand drawn artwork.

Creed

Dmitriy Creed has been working with Soramitsu for many years. His knowledge and input with the Hyperledger/Iroha java set up has been invaluable. His desire to be forward thinking and committed to the cause of Soramitsu becoming a next generation, global blockchain is evident. For his contributions over the years we at Umi have included him in our limited edition Sora Genesis edition pack.

Alexey

Alexey Chernyshov provided his expertise to aid with the software engineering and development at Soramitsu. We appreciate all his contributions with the lionising of this special edition Soramitsu Ninja.

Kamil

Kamil Salakhiev is a legendary CEO and has the important responsibility to lead the Soramitsu Labs, Russian branch. His knowledge and wisdom is evident. Kamil was the leading force behind Kagome, a Polkadot Runtime Environment. He has also had a big role to play in the development and implementation of the Bakong project. We honour him with this rare edition NFT.

Anton

Anton Khvorov has been working with Soramitsu for around three years. His role lies as a software project manager based in his native country, Russia. His love of blockchain technology drove him to connect with Makoto and his team. We honour his contributions with this stunning Japanese Shogun Soramitsu edition.

Egor

Egor Ivkov is a software engineer, rust Developer and open source enthusiast! His knowledge within blockchain has greatly helped both the Hyperledger and Iroha projects. We hope you appreciate Purple Asahi’s vision of Egor as a Samurai, as much as we do.

XDimon

Dmitriy Khaustov aka XDimon is a software engineer with a passion for all things blockchain. In his spare time he is an avid cyclist! The speed and efficiency he shows whilst working with Soramitsu is replicated when out on the tarmac. We honour him with a stunning Samurai limited edition NFT.

Ryu

Ryu Okada is the current Chairman and CEO of Soramitsu. Residing in America, Ryu runs things remotely these days. His wealth of knowledge has spanned across many industries and company roles. Recently he chaired a discussion at the UN Council for Japan. We value both Makoto and Ryu equally; having set up Soramitsu together back in 2016. We hope you like this limited edition Ryu Shogun Sora NFT piece as much as we do.

Stepan

Stepan Lavrentev is a test engineer for Soramitsu. His role ensures that only the best products are released to the public. He’s been a vital player within the Soramitsu Team of the past couple of years. His background is in Engineering and we can only thank him for making the transition to Soramitsu. We hope you enjoy our Japanese Blacksmith version of Stepan!

Stefan

Stefan Popov is a front-end development engineer for Soramitsu. He has been working with the team for the past couple of years. Based in Russia, Stefan’s role involves developing new functionality based on requirements from analytics and clients of Soramitsu. -We hope you enjoy the aesthetically pleasing Japanese Blacksmith dedication to Stefan and all his hard work put into the project.

Ali

Ali Abdulmadzhidov role focuses on the development of the Android operating system at Soramitsu. Another graduate of Innopolis University in Russia, Ali’s background lies in software security and network engineering. He has played a pivotal role in the release of number applications under the family of Soramitsu. We thank him with this fantastic Samurai edition NFT.

Zilya

Zilya Yagafarova, is a project manager of Project Bakong, a payment system that is developed in collaboration with the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) using Hyperledger Iroha blockchain. Zilya played a vital role with the implementation of the core system across dozens of Cambodian banks, which is very commendable. Zilya is also a project manager for Soramitsu and works with a team of highly skilled developers writing coding for different platforms as well as QA and DevOps specialists. We thank her for her commitment to the cause with this stunning Ancient Japanese Feline edition NFT.

Sharky

Where to start with Sharky….the friendliest shark in the crypto sea. Sharky is a huge contributor to all things Soramitsu. His tireless work to keep information on TG groups appropriate and up to date is all too evident. His ability to propel and devour himself into conversations relating to PSwap, XOR, VAL to name a few, is unmissable. We thank and honour him for his contributions to the Soramitsu Family with this stunning Sharky Sora NFT.

Sora Fuji

We honour two of the best things to grace our body, sight and souls; Sora & Mount Fuji. Our hand drawn art piece encompasses the stunning white caps of Fuji together with the celestial clouds perched above. Sora, meaning sky in Japanese, sits gracefully above, shining down upon the ground below.

Grug – an undisputed Soramitsu legend. He needs no introduction. Grug plays a vital role within the corporation. Pietro has been part of the Soramitsu family for a long time. He has worked tirelessly on the development and implementation of a vast array of projects. Alexander has been part of the Soramitsu family for a number of years. Ales

Ales Zivkovic is currently the CTO at Soramitsu, and leads technical strategy, working tirelessly with business and development teams, clients and partners to deliver state-of-the-art blockchain solutions. Ales has 10+ years experience in information technology audits and compliance engagements as an external auditor and as support to internal audit departments. He performed IT audits for financial institutions, insurance companies, public administration and service sectors. We honour him for all his contributions to the cause with this stunning Japanese warrior edition NFT.
